Let us introduce you to one of our Outstanding BlueSkyians – Sithu Tun Oo. Sithu has been learning with us for about a decade, since 2011 when he was only 9 years old. Over the years at Blue Sky International, he had completed numerous examinations, namely Movers, Flyers, KET, PET, FCE and lastly, IELTS.
He started his days at Blue Sky International as a Movers’ student. After practicing during the summer, he took the Movers’ examination in May 2011 and achieved 14 out of 15 shields. In the following year, Sithu advanced to the next level and prepared thoroughly for the Flyers’ examination of July 2012, in which he scored a full 15 shields.
Moving on, he studied for the KET and PET examinations in 2013 and 2014 respectively, both in which he managed to pass with distinction. In the summer of 2015, Sithu completed the First Certificate in English examination (FCE), as a 13-year-old student, and obtained an overall score of 166 (Level B2).
Then in 2018 after answering his IGCSE examinations, Sithu joined the IELTS preparatory course at Blue Sky International. Upon the completion of this course, he took some individual coaching sessions for the intensive preparation. In December 2018, Sithu took his first IELTS examination and achieved an overall band score of 7.5.
In addition to studying for these examinations, Sithu has completed a few series of English course books such as “Grammar” and “Vocabulary” by Success Publication, “Headway” series, “Interchange” series, “Improve Your IELTS,” and “Improve Your Skills” courses at Blue Sky International.
At the moment, Sithu is in his senior year of the International Advanced Levels. He passed his IGCSE examinations with 7A*s and 1A, and his junior International Advanced Level year with 4As. He is planning to pursue a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering in the United States after being accepted and offered scholarships by some of the top 50 engineering universities in America.
